As all of you know very well, Shahi
paneer name itself shows it is very shahi dish, it is full of cream, butter and
sugar, instead of all these things we replace it with curd, honey, cashew and
almond Paste. We give a healthy version to my dish so that it will give you an
energy in fasting days.
I have some restriction making dish
as we are using in fasting. Will give you another version also after some time.
Ingredients:-
1 tsp oil
1 cup of tomato puree
1/4 cup whisked low fat curd
1 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp honey
1/2 cup alomd/cashew cream
250 grm low fat paneer , cut into cubes.
How to make Shahi Paneer
- Take a pan and heat the oil add ginger paste and sautƩ for few seconds.
- Add Tomato puree and sautƩ on medium flame for another 5-6 min while stirring occasionally.
- Add red chili, salt mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1-2 min.
- Add Cashew and Almond paste and mix well
- Add Curd, mix well and cook on the medium flame
- Add Honey, and cook for 1-2 min
- Add Paneer, mix well cook on a medium flame for another 2 min., don’t stir too much otherwise paneer will crack,
- Now Shahi Paneer is ready to be served.
Step by Step:-
Arrange all things at one place
Heat oil and add ginger and saute for 2-3 min.
Add tomato puree
Cover the pan with lid
Add Cashew and almond paste and curd
Add red chili ,salt and honey
Mix well the gravy
Add Paneer Cubes and mix them well
Now stir continuously and check the water consistency
Now creamy and healthy shahi paneer is ready.
