Green Chili Lemon Ginger Pickle

Green Chili lemon/Ginger Pickle recipe is very easy to prepare at home and it’s very tasty. It can serve with any Indian food like dal-rice, veg-pulao, stuff parantha, plain paratha or even with roti sabzi. It is oil free pickle. Variety of pickle are also available in market but made by using lots of preservatives and synthetic colour to increase its shelf life, which are not good for our health. Some pickles are seasoning pickles, but green chili, lemon and ginger can be available throughout the year so you can make this green chili lemon/ginger pickle any time at home, and its preparation time is very less. Oil conscious people also take this. It works as a remedy, Lemon is a good source of vitamin C, improves your skin quality and help in weight loss, Ginger may reduce muscle pain and soreness and lower cholesterol levels. Ginger can treat many forms of Nausea. Also you know the benefits of green chili. Green chili has zero calorie, it prevents against cancer and balance blood sugar levels. 


Ingredients
100 gm of green chili (hari mirch)
4 Lemons
1-2 piece ginger (Adrak)
Salt to taste

Method:-
  • Wash, wipe the Green chilies properly using dry kitchen cloth and then slit them through the center.
  • Take a spoonful of Salt and add in all green chilies and set them aside.
  • Now add salt in lemon and ginger and mix them well.
  • Now mix all three items and mix well
  • Put the mixture in a clean and dry glass container. Add some lemon juice and shake it well.
  • And Keep the container in direct sun light for two to three days and shake it four to five times a day.
  • After 2-3 days we will get our green chili lemon ginger pickle ready. Store it for 10-15 days and enjoy it with your every meal. 

Step by Step
Take Green chili, lemon and ginger


cut into small pieces. 


Cut into lengthwise piece 


Slit from the centre 


Fill with salt 


Also add salt to lemon and ginger


Mix all three ingredient and store in the airtight container. After 1 day you will enjoy the pickle



Notes
Always keep in mind while purchasing green chilies, it should be green long, thick and medium or less hot. 


Bharwa Bhindi/Besan Wali Bhindi


Bharwa Bhindi /Besanwali bhindi

Authentic Crispy Bharwa Bhindi sounds for more oil, it’s a perception that oil makes a tasty and texture of dish. If you are calorie conscious, then try this recipe with only 1 tsp of oil.

Bhindi is also known as okra. When I tried this variation, everyone liked it in my home especially my kids, 


Ingredients:-
Lady Finger /Bhindi – 500 gms
Besan/gram flour – 4-5 spoon
Onion – 2 (very small chopped)
Amchur/Dry mango – 1½ tsp
Salt – as per taste
Red chili- 1 tsp
Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
Cumin powder – 1tsp
Turmeric – 1 tsp
Garam masala – ½ tsp
Cinnamon powder – ½ tsp
Ginger and garlic powder- 1 tsp
Fennel powder – 1 tsp
Pomegranate powder – ½ tsp


Make the filling:-

Mix all above ingredients in a bowl with onion and besan for stuffing.

For Seasoning :-
Oil – 1 tsp
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Hing – 1 pinch


Method:-

  • Wash, wipe the Bhindi properly using dry kitchen cloth and cut the head of Lady finger, and then slit them through the center.  
  • Take a spoonful of stuffing and add in all ladyfinger and set them aside.
  • Now twist has come, place all bhindi in fryer and bake at 200'c for 10-15 min.
  • After 10 min take it out from fryer.
  • Heat oil in a pan add cumin seeds and hing then add fried crispy bhindi and add left over masala over it. Cover the pan with lid and let it cook for 4-5 min on medium flame.
  • Crispy bharwa bhindi is ready without oil.
  • Now serve hot with roti, parantha, and raita.
  • One interesting thing, you can eat like a snack , my kids like it as a snack (Left over bhindi my kids eat as snack ) Coz its very tasty without increasing calaories. 


Step by Step :- 
Wash and wipe the ladyfingers 


Slit them from the center


Take all the masalas 


Onion and Besan (gram flour)


 Mix all ingredients 


Fill the ladyfinger with this stuffing


Put them in fryer for 10-15 min at 200'c


take out from the fryer (it just look like authentic fried bhindi.)


Now heat oil in a pan 


Add cumin seeds and hing 


Add left over chopped onion 


Add Some coriander and mint leaves


Add the prepared bhindi 


add left over masala 



Cook for 5 min 


Now ready to be served 



Pls note :-

  1. To avoid bhindi turning slimy , dry / wipe the bhindi properly after washing,if the bhindi is wet , sabzi will turn slimy(sticky).

Method :-
Take raw turmeric, peel and grate them.
Add milk in bowl and add grated turmeric and let it boil for 10-15 min.
If you want add any sweetener as per your taste (honey/sugar/jaggary)
Strain the milk and pour it into the glasses.

Drink this incredible drink while it’s nice and warm and see the amazing results.

Take raw Haldi (Turmeric)



Grate the same 


Add in milk 


Boil milk for 8-10 min


Now milk is ready to serve

Watermelon is a popular fruit for summer, While we all enjoy eating this fruit, we usually discard the skin/rind of juicy watermelon without realizing or rather knowing of their health benefits. 


It has many benefits, but the Skin actually contains more of the amino acid. Watermelon skin is good for your skin and immunity, as well as for your nervous system.



Ingredients:-

Watermelon skins
Black salt 1/2 tsp
Ice - 8-10 pieces
Sugar - 5-10 tsp
Lemon-1 
Mint powder 1/2 tsp (or you can use fresh also)

Method :- 

Blend watermelon skin with some water
Sieve the pulp and extract the purely juice
Add some sugar
Add some salt, pepper and squeeze the lemon 
Add ice cubes and serve cold.

Bhindi Ka Raita

Many people are afraid of using ladyfinger in raita as they think it will get gooey, But, you just need to know the right way of including it. The crispiness of fried ladyfinger mixed with yogurt and masalas taste oh so good and tongue-tickling results.

But one thing keep in mind , Serve this bindi raita immediately on preparation to enjoy the crispness of the deep-fried bhindi.
Serve with Pulaos, Biryanis and Roti.

Ingredients


250 gms ladyfinger (bhindi)
2 cups Whisked Curd
½ tsp roasted cumin powder
1 tsp black salt
½  tsp black pepper
Oil for deep frying 
½ tsp Red chili poweder
For garnishing – chopped green coriander


Method :-
1. Cut ladyfingers into thin round slices
2. Heat the oil in a kadai or pan and  deep-fry the ladyfinger, till then turn crisp     and golden brown in colour, drain oil and keep aside.
3. Just before serving ,add  the deep fried ladies finger mix in whisked curd and     add all spices black pepper, black salt, and roasted cumin powder.
4. Server immediately garnished with coriander

Cut into small pieces 


Heal oil


Add ladyfinger pieces and  deep fry



Drain out the oil and keep aside



Take whisked curd in bowl 


Add fried ladyfinger and masalas 



Now serve immediately
